Summer Sessions – Drevait – Leenie – Pristál (FREE EVENT)

Larimer Lounge Presents Summer Sessions – Drevait – Leenie – Pristál on Monday, September 2nd (FREE EVENT).     Pristál – Having an upbringing as a classical and jazz musician, Pristál is the embodiment of the up and coming renaissance of black, queer dance music. They have been spinning for 12 years and it all started with being exposed to multiple different genres of music, including Bossa Nova, Jazz, House, Techno, and Dancehall. Whenever you come to a Pristál show, get ready to have your body moving the entire time because you won’t want to stop dancing in their presence.     Leenie – Leenie is a Producer and DJ, intent on making you move. Originally from Cleveland, OH, they draw inspiration from their time in the midwest dance scene—gravitating towards genres like techno, house, club, and juke.      Drevait – This genre jumping selectors upbringing in Trinidad & Tobago + South FL has shaped his unique and culturally diverse ear for music.  Carnival/Jouvert in T&T alongside the locally and internationally prominent Calypso, Soca, Reggae and Dancehall gave him the ideal intro to arguably the best dance culture on the planet. This eventually led to the discovery of a safe haven for dancefloor debauchery in Miami’s house + techno world. Drevait (dree-vay) dj sets have no boundaries and will take listeners on a well crafted expedition of self discovery to learn the true meaning of what dance music can be.     21+
