Night Tales w/ Zacc. + Brown Liquor

Larimer Lounge Presents Night Tales with Zacc. and Brown Liquor on Friday, November 1 —   When it comes to the sounds of everyday life, artists Kamaliza (Australian-born Kamaliza Salamba) and Third Floor (UK-born/Aussie citizen Aaron Bannie) have the sonic representation of human emotion and personal relationships down to a science. Most recently, they’ve joined forces for a brand new project called Night Tales. Uniquely emotive and resonant on a fundamental level, their music together embodies a calming sense of introversion and serenity within one’s own personal space.
Night Tales’ sound is marked by a determined focus on songwriting, chord progressions, and striking lyricism. There is a remarkable mix of their two individual styles, almost as if the best of both worlds met and worked together on something even more extraordinary than the quantifiable sum of their parts. “At the forefront of what we do is human emotion,” they write. “We’re inspired by everyday life, particularly personal relationships. People are at the core of what we do.”
The duo have recently signed to Ultra Music/Sony to release their debut album in October 2022. Night Tales have released 20 tracks and have since racked up over 12.5 million Streams on Spotify, 4 Million stream Apple Music, 2 million on YouTube. They are performing in Mexico for Pal Notre festival & Electric Forest in Michigan along with their debut album tour in Nov 2022. 9:15-10:45 Brown Liquor 10:45 -12:15  Night Tales 12:15-1:45 Zacc. 21+

The much anticipated album “Loop de Loop Miracle Ministries Lords of Glory” will be released early summer of 2024.   Oruã: Former members of Built to Spill and formed in Rio de Janeiro, Oruã has become stalwarts of the Brazilian lo-fi music scene. The band is lead by critically-acclaimed guitarist and producer Lê Almeida and is joined by long-time collaborators João Casaes (synths), Bigu Medine (bass) and Phill Fernandes (drums). Together, they blend lo-fi indie rock, krautrock, noise, afrobeat, and Brazilian references that range from Luiz Gonzaga’s primal Pernambuco sound to classic Brazilian psych rock. In 2019 their sound was discovered by indie rock legend Doug Martsch of Built to Spill, which led to him inviting Lê and João to become temporary members of the 90’s indie rock band. Later they recorded, co-produced, and co-mixed Built to Spill’s most recent album, When the Wind Forgets Your Name, released in 2022 on Sub Pop Records. After touring extensively with Built to Spill and showcasing their high-energy shows in the US and Europe throughout the years, Oruã will return to the US in 2024 in support of their forthcoming album, PASSE on Transfusão Noise Records. Their sound continues to mix the electric pulses of deconstructed guitars over a mesmerizing groove, taking both audience and band into a collective trance.   – All ages, ticketed guests under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian
