Teenage Dads w/ Spinning Jenny
Larimer Lounge Presents Teenage Dads with Spinning Jenny on Monday, November 4th. From the moment Teenage Dads pulled together the first strains of early singles like ‘Devil’s Jam’ and ‘Sunburnt’, they knew they were striving for something different. Refusing to stay within the bounds of stock-standard Australian indie, the four-piece from Melbourne created melodies and rhythms that collided disparate worlds: early 2000s NYC indie, ‘80s acts like Devo and Talking Heads, the explosiveness of bands like Two Door Cinema Club, and something else that was entirely their own. It’s been clear, throughout releases like the acclaimed “Club Echo” & their last EP “Midnight Driving”, that Teenage Dads are in a league of their own. Now with a string of fresh new singles to their name, the band have truly solidified themselves within the alternative pop rock scene. Meeting at school, bandmates Jordan Finlay (vocals/multi-instrumentalist), Vincent Kinna (drums), Angus Christie (bass) and Connor McLaughlin (guitar) quickly locked on the foundation of Teenage Dads: compact, propellant rhythms, and lyrics that could tug at heartstrings or conjure laughter. They were committed to being a live band first and foremost, and they quickly earned a reputation for ferociously energetic sets, finding them fans across Australia, North America, England and Europe. Tracks including Hey Diego!, Speedracer and the live show-stopping Teddy, have all gained radio support in Australia via triple j, with BBC Radio 1 jumping on board to support Speedracer. I Like It features on international playlists including, New Music Friday, New Music Daily, Indie Brandneu, Indie Arrivals, Heaps Indie and many more, with their most recent single Weaponz being added to high rotation on triple j. Teenage Dads closed out last year playing 94 shows globally across 10 countries, and 3 continents, selling over 15 thousand tickets. The band also made their Splendour In The Grass debut, joining the Groovin The Moo festival national tour plus Yours & Owls and SXSW Sydney in 2023. The release of their last EP ‘Midnight Driving’ debuted at #2 in the ARIA album charts, and notably, the band wrapped up the year by taking home the 2023 Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Aria Award. Kicking of 2024 with festival slots at Party in the Paddock and the national Laneway Festival tour, as well as an EU/UK headline tour, Teenage Dads are keeping the momentum going with the announce of their largest Australian headline tour to date. – All ages, ticketed guests under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian
Dad Bod & Oruã w/ Totem Pocket
Larimer Lounge Presents Dad Bod & Oruã with Totem Pocket on Saturday, August 24th. Dad Bod: Dad Bod is an Indie Alternative band out of Salt Lake City, Utah made up of 5 band members. Three brothers- Michael, Marcus, and Matthew Marinos made up the original members of the band, joined eventually by Russ Allphin and Michael Morgan. The band has been inspired by artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Elliott Smith and Big Thief. Dad Bod has released an EP and two full length albums, including their most recent album release “Pastels” in 2021. The group has had the opportunity to play in major festivals such as the Twilight Concert Series and Kilby Block Party. They have also had numerous tours throughout the western US that has helped their fanbase continue to grow. In preparation to release their third album, Dad Bod has released singles “Alcohol” and “Fine Print”. The much anticipated album “Loop de Loop Miracle Ministries Lords of Glory” will be released early summer of 2024. Oruã: Former members of Built to Spill and formed in Rio de Janeiro, Oruã has become stalwarts of the Brazilian lo-fi music scene. The band is lead by critically-acclaimed guitarist and producer Lê Almeida and is joined by long-time collaborators João Casaes (synths), Bigu Medine (bass) and Phill Fernandes (drums). Together, they blend lo-fi indie rock, krautrock, noise, afrobeat, and Brazilian references that range from Luiz Gonzaga’s primal Pernambuco sound to classic Brazilian psych rock. In 2019 their sound was discovered by indie rock legend Doug Martsch of Built to Spill, which led to him inviting Lê and João to become temporary members of the 90’s indie rock band. Later they recorded, co-produced, and co-mixed Built to Spill’s most recent album, When the Wind Forgets Your Name, released in 2022 on Sub Pop Records. After touring extensively with Built to Spill and showcasing their high-energy shows in the US and Europe throughout the years, Oruã will return to the US in 2024 in support of their forthcoming album, PASSE on Transfusão Noise Records. Their sound continues to mix the electric pulses of deconstructed guitars over a mesmerizing groove, taking both audience and band into a collective trance. – All ages, ticketed guests under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian

Caleb Hearn w/ Rowan Drake
Larimer Lounge Presents Caleb Hearn with Rowan Drake on Wednesday, September 11th. We hold on to memories like old photos in a box. They may not be on the mantle, but they’re never too far away. We wait for the right moment to unearth them and relive them. Instead of simply dusting off formative memories, Caleb Hearn alchemizes his reflections into revelatory anthems laced with folk eloquence and amplified with pop appeal. After generating 235M+ streams and attracting a global fanbase with 1.4M+ TikTok followers, the North Carolina-raised and Nashville-based singer-songwriter uses his recollections to grow and evolve on his Birthdays & Funerals EP. Since 2019, Caleb has engaged and enraptured audiences by tuning into raw emotion via his songs. Following the 2020 Reflections EP, the fan favorites, “Always Be 2.0,” “Brown Eyes, Brown Hair,” and “It’s Always Been You,” have tailed 101M+ Spotify streams combined. Building off that momentum, Caleb unveiled his We’re Getting Older EP in 2022. With 22M+ cumulative streams on Spotify, We’re Getting Older EP took listeners through the complex stages of heartbreak–from the moment you realize you’ve lost the person you love to learning how to deal with the pain that follows. In the spring of 2023, Caleb Hearn returned with his 4-track follow-EP 1200 sq ft, that has surpassed 13M+ collective Spotify streams. Known for penning tender tracks at the narrative crossroads of relationships, missed opportunities, and the lessons to be had from young love, Caleb shifted gears and focuses on his family roots while offering unique subtle blend of folk and indie pop. Along the way, Caleb teamed up with the likes of Michal Leah, Jillian Rossi, Haywood, and Mokita for popular collaborations. Additionally, he’s toured with Ron Pope, Lydia Luce, and Rosie Darling. While the 23-year-old ruminates on his past struggles, his Birthdays & Funerals EP is grounded in the present showcasing the man he’s becoming and the man he ultimately wants to be. While the title track speaks directly to the love of his life, other tracks touch upon future parenthood and understanding the choices and chances his own father took on the road of life. This new collection of songs reflects Caleb’s musical journey that continues to take transformative turns every step of the way. 16+, under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian
