Based in LA and originally from Orange County, independent artist Alix Page started singing and writing songs from a young age, releasing her first song as a teenager in 2020. Her audience has grown up alongside her, relating to and finding solace in her striking songwriting that deals with the complicated feelings of relationships and getting older. Since the 2022 release of her debut EP ‘Old News’, Page has captivated audiences in different venues across the world with her intimate live set. As a songwriter and musician, she’s gained recognition from, toured alongside, and collaborated with a wide range of producers and artists such as Gracie Abrams, Del Water Gap, Christian Lee Hutson, Laufey, Justin Tranter, Jake Minch, Waxahatchee, Andy Seltzer, Carol Ades, Milk., Claud, Rebounder, Alfie Templeman, Ella Jane, and more. Her primary collaborators, producer/drummer Brett Kramer, engineer Jonny Bell of Jazzcats Studio, producer/instrumentalist Andrew Pham, and visual artist/graphic designer Natalie Minguez, have been with Alix since her very first release as a teenager, and continue to grow and evolve with her as her music does. Whether working alone or with others, Page’s output remains rooted in her undeniable lyrical skills bringing the audience into the stories she tells. This past spring, she announced her first headline tour, The Hatchling Tour, where she played to audiences of her own in sold-out venues in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, and more. This Winter, Page toured in support of Jeremy Zucker and The Milk Carton Kids on their respective North American Tours, captivating a diverse group of new fans. Larimer Lounge Presents Kevin Atwater – The Achilles Tour with Aubory Bugg on Tuesday, April 15th. In early 2022, after his first big opportunity on Broadway was stripped due to the pandemic, Kevin Atwater resorted to writing songs in his Upper West Side apartment as a creative outlet. He started posting acoustic performances of his songs online and immediately began building a dedicated fanbase who gravitated towards his uniquely honest and intimate songwriting about his queer experience. That summer, a video of him playing his song “star tripping” went viral on TikTok. That video, coupled with a number of other equally successful videos that followed, led to a steady and explosive growth in audience, and garnered the attention and support of notable artists like Noah Kahan, MUNA, and Lizzy McAlpine. Kevin ultimately released his debut EP “Downers Grove” April 26, 2023, accumulating over 20 Million streams across platforms, and allowing him to hit the road supporting artists such as Jeremy Zucker, Leith Ross, and Searows. In 2024 a viral video of his follow up single “why did you invite me to your wedding?” (8M+ views) catapulted his fanbase to new heights, more than doubling his audience. Following this momentum, he released Downers Grove (Reimagined), a new version of his acclaimed EP that includes guest appearances from an amazing list of emerging artists and friends, including Jake Minch, Allison Ponthier, and more. He also put up his first run of sold out headline shows and was named one of SiriusXM Coffeehouse’s Artists To Watch in 2024. Larimer Lounge Presents SASAMI w/ Mood Killer on Thursday, May 15th. Two Sasami’s exist in harmony. First is Sasami Ashworth, the conservatory-trained classical French horn player, producer, and composer—an artist with a studious approach to craft. And then there is all-caps SASAMI, the fearless performer and protagonist of her three increasingly audacious albums. For Blood On the Silver Screen, these two sides fused for her most epic and realized music to date: the all-out Sasami pop record. “This album is all about learning and respecting the craft of pop songwriting, about relenting to illogical passion, obsession, and guiltless pleasure,” Sasami says. “It’s about leaning into the chaos of romance and sweeping devotion—romanticism to the point of self-destruction.” After establishing herself with the poised melancholia of her eponymous 2019 debut, Sasami embraced volume and control on 2022’s Squeeze, but her goal on Blood On the Silver Screen was to speak her truth with conviction by singing. Working with producers Jenn Decilveo and Rostam, with Sasami as sole writer, each Blood On the Silver Screen track viscerally captures a different thread of love, sex, power, and embodiment. “Pop music is like fuel,” Sasami says. “It’s just invigorating.” She came to that fact while training to tour Squeeze—shows that required her to run around with her Mockingbird guitar, mosh, leap off amps—at the gym. Sasami found herself fascinated by the high-octane music that sustains physical activity. “The gym became this place where I would exercise and be studying the music,” Sasami says. Eschewing today’s pop zeitgeist, Sasami gravitated towards late aughts and 2010s pop a la Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, plus Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, and Sia. She was influenced by modern country storytelling, mixing vulnerability with humor, and the mood board also included Prince, Japanese city pop, and the stadium-sized, denim-clad iconography of Bruce Springsteen. “I wanted to go all out with this album,” Sasami sats. “I wanted to, in my tenderness and emotionality, have the bravery to undertake something as epic as making a pop record about love.
