Electronic music artist Rules (Derbyshire, UK) is known for his warm, immersive sound, drawing deep appreciation and influence from classic house music. His signature blend of synth-fuelled nostalgia and soulful melodies has struck a powerful chord with a global audience, garnering significant global streaming support while building a fast-growing following across platforms.

 

His viral unofficial edits and bootlegs have earned widespread underground acclaim. With a knack for reimagining the familiar, Rules has created a slew of edits of timeless classics such as “Teardrops”, “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” and “Get Down Saturday Night”, receiving credible support from tastemakers including Tiesto, Martin Garrix and Don Diablo.

 

He has collaborated with the likes of Diplo, Clementine Douglas, Elderbrook, Stevie Appleton and Poppy Baskcomb.

 

He has also teamed up with Gregory Porter, remixing his classic “Holding On” to mark the 10th anniversary of Porter’s album “Take Me To The Alley”.

 

His debut EP As Soon As I Get Home comes out May 29th (Counter Records/Ninja Tune), after a slew of strong streaming singles, excellent radio and tastemaker support.

 

Rules is represented by UTA, sold out his debut live show at Corsica Studios, followed by a 14-date US tour supporting Vandelux and a sold out run of shows on his headline UK/EU tour including Village Underground.

 

He is due to announce a US headline tour, Vandelux support to 2500 and Palm Tree Festival. As well as embark on working on a debut album (Counter Records/Ninja Tune) already collaborating with the likes of Elderbrook and Maverick Sabre amongst others.

 

Rules stands at the forefront of a new wave of electronic producers infusing dance music with sincerity and emotion.
