Millkzy, born Dev, is a Dallas-based artist originally from St. Louis who is carving out his own space between R&B, rap, and spoken word. His music is rooted in storytelling, often unfolding like scenes from a script, with detailed writing, recurring characters, and emotionally driven moments at the center of each record. His self-defined style, Floetry, blends poetic structure with traditional song form, often leaning on live instrumentation and stripped-back production to let the writing lead.
He first introduced this approach with Floetry in 2023, a project that established him as a writer-first artist. He continues to build on that foundation with Floetry The Extension, expanding his world through more developed narratives, sharper perspective shifts, and a deeper focus on character and emotion.
